What You’ll Learn:

By the end of ToT, trainers can:
-Deliver all 14 IES modules using step-by-step lesson plans and pacing guides.
- Teach and coach across all modes of interpreting: consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation.
- Facilitate interactive practice (role-plays: IEP/504/parent-teacher/SST), debriefs, and feedback.
- Apply adult-learning principles, classroom management, and inclusive facilitation.
- Assess learners using quizzes, rubrics, observation forms, and progress tools.
- Align training with ethics, confidentiality, and K-12 procedures so interpreters are accurate and assignment-ready.

Enrollment Requirements

Language & Cultural Competency - Bilingual fluency and demonstrated bicultural proficiency.

Professional Experience - ≥1 year interpreting in educational contexts (K-12, special education, adult education).

Training/Teaching Background (Preferred) - Prior experience facilitating training or instruction.

Institutional Affiliation - Employed by a school district, LSP, adult education center, or related organization seeking licensure to deliver the 24-hour program.
